Easter Gown Contest
Description
Have you ever dreamed of becoming a famous clothes creator? Here is your chance! Events Horus will join the Acro-Line organized in Kush, by running an Easter Gown contest on the site. The artists will have to design an awesome gown on an Easter theme (little bunnies, eggs, hens, chocolates...).
If you haven't passed your Art and Music initiation, feel free to join the fun and pass the initiation in 2 days! :)
To the right, you can see an example gown, realized by the Events Horus Team.
Designing Period: You may use all the time between now and the judging time to build the gown.
Voting Period: The 22nd and 23rd March, during the Acro-Line
Organizers: Spicy, Kaayru, Rym, Babayaga, Safirah | |
Where to build
Do not build close to the Example Gown, it's not part of the contest, and it will be the first Acro Station :)
Rules
- Anyone may enter the contest by creating a beautiful Easter themed gown on the Acro-Line site in Kush (625 -3500, 3 mins run from the chariot, by S Body). The sculptures must all be located around the Acro-Line starting spot.
- You may create as many gowns as you wish.
- You may use as many sculpture bases as you wish.
- The lady's gown may be made by her or by another party. If you need a model you can contact Babayaga, Safirah, Spicy or Rym from the Events Horus Team.
- When your gown is finished, place yourself or your model in it, and screenshot. You can now post your screenshot on the Gallery. Don't forget to do it, people will mostly use this gallery to see how it looks wonderful when someone's wearing the dress!
Tips
- So you can get into your gown later, BEFORE YOU BUILD THE GOWN, choose your spot, make a waypoint at the exact position your gown is to be built; walk away; orient yourself in the correct direction (south is recommended for best lighting); waypoint back to the spot. You are now ready to begin building the dress.
- Build the base of the gown on yourself, so that the gown will fit you.
- Caution: Avoid the "BUG". If you use multiple sculpture sites, avoid spreading to include much more land. Keep it tight, and oriented in the same direction. Otherwise, your gown will become mishaped and dishoveled.
Judging
Judging Period: 22nd and 23rd March, during the Acro-Line
Everyone is welcome to judge and vote on the gowns. To count the votes, we'll ask each voter to drop 1 personal chit in the chest in front of their favorite gowns. Each voter may vote for up to 3 dresses.
To make a personal chit, choose Skills, Carving, Level 2, Whittle a Personal Chit. You will need 1 wood and a glass knife or better.
When the Acro-Line ends, we will count the chits in each chest, and will announce the scores in E!.
Note: The artists are welcome to come and stand in their gowns while the Acro-Line is going on, so that voters can see how the gown fit its model. If artists can't come, people can see the screenies posted on the Gallery.
