Mission Statement
- Random Acts of Kindness was set up for the purpose of doing just as it's name suggests...to bring Random Kindness to Egypt.
- Have you ever wanted to do something nice for someone? Because they needed help, or were having a hard time, or just for the simple reason that you FELT like it? Were you stopped from doing so because you preferred to keep your identity secret?
- Ever seen a new player (or even an older player) struggling to complete something from a lack of resources? But didn't want to just run up and give them what they need? Afraid of hurting their feelings or just not wanting to have a "moocher" following you around?
- Now's your chance...Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) will be your "go-between" to assist you in performing Kind Acts.
How we work...
- RAK maintains a large chest farm in a compound at 1446, 2006 in 7L, just slightly north of TheGoods.
- The chest farm has a large variety of 100% stashable chests, available in all sizes.
- Donors may stash their "gifts" in the chest of their choice and then chat one of the Elders with the name of the recipient AND the chest # you used (open new chat for this so you can close it if gifting to a spouse etc, and so we don't lose vital information). An Elder will then complete the transaction by transferring ownership of the chest to the person of your choosing.
- (NOTE 1: Please include a personal chit with your gift for our own personal records.)
- (NOTE 2: RAK is NOT a trading post...these chests are for "gifts" only!.)
- (NOTE 3: A chest with only 1 db in it IS still useable!! Some chests have random things stashed in them for a separate event!!)
- Each recipient will receive, along with chest ownership, a message from RAK...
- Dear (xxx), you are the recipient of a Random Act of Kindness from an Anonymous Benefactor. To complete receipt of this gift, please visit our chest farm at 1446,2006; just a short run North from the 7L chariot. Your gift is in chest (xxx) waiting for you. While we will not reveal to you the name of your Benefactor, we will gladly pass along any message you wish to send them. Thank you and have a most Kind Day!
- As always, total 100% Anonymity is assured! We will never reveal your name or the nature of your gift to anyone under any circumstance!!
How you can help/contribute
- Looking for a way to help RAK continue it's own Acts of Kindness?
- RAK Elders will be monitoring regional chat tabs, looking for people we feel need a little assistance, be it tuition costs for the newest player, or a boost for someone a little older in the game. (Thank you ellorin for the idea)
- Chests for donations to aid us in being able to assist these people when we notice them are located inside the compound and directly behind the GuildHall.
- RAK is looking for people active in ALL regions to monitor the regional chats and let us know when they see someone truly needing help. If you notice such a person, and do not want to perform your own Kind Act, please chat an Elder with the information (who needs, what they need, a time frame if applicable).

- July 28 2007, 12pm EDT to July 29 2007 12pm EDT - Random Acts of Kindness announces it's First Monthly "Egypt's Day of Giving". A 24-hour day of giving...give a gift to anyone, put a smile on someone's face!! You never know, you may also find yourself the recipient of someone's kindness!! All gifts need to be stashed no later than 12pm EDT, July 29, 2007 at which point we will begin the transfer of the gift chests to the recipients. - Step by step..what do I do?
- 1. Run to chest farm, pick right size chest.
- 2. Stash gift and personal chit.
- 3. Chat an Elder with chest number and name of recipient or other instructions (random, noob etc).
- 4. Enjoy knowing you have helped someone have a happy day!
- I want to give to more than 1 person? Do I need to use separate chests?
- Yes!! We aren't responsible for dividing up your gifts unless you donate, for example, half dozen hatchets to be given to random new players.
- Do I have to drop a personal chit in each chest?
- Please do. They serve several purposes. Sometimes for a separate event. But more importantly, if we lose our notes on who to transfer a chest to, we know who to chat and ask who it was intended for.
- I am at the chest farm but I forgot my chits. Now what?
- Inside the compound is a chest labeled "Forgot my chit"...take a knife and piece of wood and make a chit. Return the knife to the chest when done please :)
- Are random recipients allowed? As in, level 8 or less, paid account?
- Absolutely!! You give us the requirements, we'll find the person.
- I have newbie start stuff (tuitions, supplies etc). Can I donate them for you to distribute?
- Yes. We have a huge chest inside the compound labled for "Newbie Starter Stuff", toss yours in there and we'll see that it makes it to those in need.
- Can you keep my gift/identity secret?
- YES! The entire premise behind RAK is total anonymity. Your identity will never be revealed to anyone in any form...ever!
