To rotate your camera, bring the mouse to the edges of the screen.
To rot flax, have flax in your inventory, stand near water and click yourself->Skills->Rot flax in water. Please note you will also need to have learned the Flax Processing skill from a School of Art & Music.
While the description text states that you can travel to Egypt by sea or by foot, you can actually only sail to Egypt with a ferry. Only players that started the game before the Island opened, stopped playing for a while before becoming a Citizen, and came back to the game later can do it by foot, since they already appeared in Egypt proper.
There are 2 tar pits, located at the foot of the mountain, in the northern part of the island. They look like flat black discs, on the ground. There are roadsings pointing to them. Click on them to gather tar. If you think you need a jug of water or shovel to collect the tar, you are hitting the wrong button. :) Click right on the black tar area on the ground.
A player is considered “departed” if their status is (quit) and their last login at least seven days ago, or their status is (expired or closed) and their last login was fourteen days ago. This does not mean that they have had the status of (expired or closed) for fourteen days, just that they are (expired or closed) and that it has been fourteen days since they were last logged in. This can lead to the immediate claiming of their property as soon as they become expired. However, a Guild is considered as “departed” if all of the Elders are “departed” as define above plus an additional fourteen day period.
So, a guild is actually departed when all elders are quit for 21 days (7+14) or expired for 28 days (14+14).
Ok, this one is a tough one. When someone checks for DPPRA on a guild hall, the Guild's timer freezes for the next 24 hours (not a bug, it's as intended). For example, if someone checks for DPPRA when the elder is quit for 20 days and 10 hours, the Guild Hall will actually be DPPRAable 1 day later, when the elder is departed for 21 days and 10 hours.
You can ask for a name change once in a telling.
You can ask for a sex change once in a telling, if you arrived in Egypt for less than 15 days.
You can ask for a guild name change in exactly one situation: if there is a typo or a mispell in the name of your guild. You also have to be an elder of the guild to ask for a name change.
We can help you move a building in exactly two situations: if the building is overlapping another building (see Exploits), or if you're moving camp (only some buildings, like the Mentorship Sacelum, since you lose the decrees if you tear it down).
Why do you ask...
Someone is exploiting if they're taking advantage from a bug or an issue. Example: walk on water to drop a cicada cage, build something over someone else building.
ALWAYS report it via a GM call. If you're not reporting it and take advantage from the issue, we will take the appropriate actions. In worst cases, an IP ban.
If you think a GM is exploiting, place a Dev call in. GM abuses are taken very seriously by eGenesis.
As per Rules of Conduct (see Utility/Billing/Read the Rules of Conduct), you are allowed to use shortcuts programs, mouse accelerators and macro tools. But you have to be alert and paying attention when using them. AFK macroing is a jailable offense.

This means your internet connection is poor when the client started downloading the files. Please close the client and try to restart it.
This can happen in two situations: Either your computer is loading files (you'll see a "Patching xx files" at the top left corner) or there is no associated graphics for the item you dropped on the ground. Also, if you see a pink box standing in the middle of nowhere, and you can't interract with it, please report it to a GM.
