The Clearcutting Act
Wood Source Protection Act
Due to the possibility of a new skill being introduced to our community, Egypt's citizens stand in grave peril of permanently losing their source of wood, through the hewing of trees using a new skill, leaving only an unharvestable stump behind. Therefore, be it resolved that:
1) Any person who utilizes a tool or skill which prevents the regeneration of a tree for more than 15 minutes, shall carve their name into the stump of that tree.
2) Any tree that can be harvested for wood, may be marked as being "In Use", by harvesting wood from that tree 3 times in a 15 minute period. These trees will be marked as being In Use for one week from that time. Harvesting wood with the use of any skill that prevents the regeneration of a tree for more than 15 minutes is hereby illegal. This procedure is repeatable at any time. Harvesting a tree using a skill as previously described does not mark a tree as in use.
3) After full recovery, a tree that has been cut with the use of any such skill as described above will have a period of 2 days in which it cannot be harvested using such a skill. This will create a grace period in which trees can be marked as in use again before they can be chopped down.
