The basic tinctures are produced in an Assimilation Bath, which requires the Alchemical Maceration tech to operate. A basic tincture is made from four components: spirits, and ingredients of sun, moon, and stars. The formulae for the basic tinctures were discovered on ancient tablets found buried beneath trees. It is known that there are many more tinctures than those listed here; however, the means of producing them is as yet unknown.
To make a basic tincture, simply load the appropriate ingredients, along with 7 grain spirits of water (or better), into an assimilation bath. Each batch of ingredients produces 50 tincture. Takes 5 minutes to produce.

There was some (frankly insane!) conversation on IRC earlier that suggested that more tinctures may exist, but not be on tablets... i.e. that we have to brute force. - Prel

The one undiscovered tincture to show up so far in needed compounds is Fa, which is probably on tablets that haven't yet been assembled. The modulo 30 congruence of a tablet number seems to determine the tincture on the tablet for tablets numbered up to 90. No such tablets have been found modulo 18, 20, or 22, but two of these probably correspond to Fd and Gs, which so far have only been found on higher numbered tablets. The remaining congruence class is presumably the needed Fa, which may or may not also be on a higher numbered tablet. - Quizzical
The modulo congruence relationship appears to break down on the third repetition with tablets 68 and 77 both being Gu. Is this an entry mistake? I would have expected tablet 77 to be Dm. - Tass
