Overview
Test of the Sphinx has been hammered out equally by AbesGhost, Lindie, and Riazza.
- We consider it an excellent choice for this Telling's Architectural heritage.
- It utilizes a wide variety of skills and resources, requires trade, and minimizes the possible effects of gaming
^
- Plus it should look
quite cool if the graphics are done well!

I added some thought on how this test could be improved here. Please take a look, Thanks.

DISTRIBUTION
There are 20 different types of Sphynx Crystals. You must install one of each type in the Sphinx. When you begin the test at a University of Architecture, you will be given 4 (four) crystals. (That is enough to pass principles after you trade). You may then receive 2 (two) crystals from any School of Architecture four more times times, for a total of 12 crystals. You may only receive crystals once every 12 (twelve) hours. All the crystals you receive will be of the same type. You will need to trade with other players to complete your set of 20.
The owner of a 1st Degree Fully Adorned Sphinx qualifies to get 12 more Sphinx Crystals from the S Arch under the two-at-a-time, every 12 hour rules above.
- So you needed to trade for 40% more than you were given.
- 4 Sphinx crystals are displayed on the sphinx's 1 collar (for principles)and 4 bracelets for a total of 20.
- I suggest that Sphinx Crystals should be designed to look like star sapphires in various colors.

USE and EFFECT of CRYSTALS
- Sphinx Crystal Multipliers A Sphinx's score is multiplied by the number of complete sets of 20 different Sphinx Crystals.
- A 1st Degree Fully Adorned Sphinx has been adorned with a complete set of all 20 crystals, 7 different cut gems, 7 different pieces of marble and 6 different large gems, all listed above. It's value in points is 150 + 150 + 150 x the Sphinx Crystal Multiplier (1 for the first set) = 450.
- It increases in size to 6x2 coords
- The owner of a 1st Degree Fully Adorned Sphinx is qualified to receive 12 more Sphinx Crystals: 2 at a time every 12 hrs.
- A 2nd Degree Fully Adorned Sphinx has been adorned with 2 complete sets of all 20 crystals, 14 different cut gems, 14 different pieces of marble and 12 different large gems, all listed above. It's value in points is 300 + 300 + 300 x the Sphinx Crystal Multiplier (2 for the first set) = 1800.
- It increases in size to 12x3 coords (and from there on a multiple of 2 to the length, width, and height)
- The graphics for the 2nd Degree should reflect the addition of great beauty and wealth.
- 3rd, 4th, 5th Degree, ...and on for unlimited degrees of Sphinx: 3 sets = multiply score by 3, 4:4, 5:5, etc.
- each degree Sphinx increases 2x in volume (Length x Width x Height)
- The graphics for each Degree of Adornment should reflect the addition of great beauty and wealth.
Passing the Test of the Sphinx
- The people with the top 3 number of points for the week pass the test.
- A Sphinx that has passed the test can be used as unlimited storage for clinker.
- Sphinx are not subject to ownership transfers and can not be dppra.
- A player can only own one Sphinx at a time.
- A person can tear down their sphinx; they will only get the base items back, dependent on their salvage skill.
- Adornments will not be given back.
- All clinker stashed will also be in the salvage pile.
NOTES
^ The test encourages social interaction / trade in :
1) the necessity to attain a wide variety of resources that take varying types and degrees of effort and skills to attain, and
2) the trading of crystals.
The test minimizes gaming through the new crystal acquisition process: only owners of a Fully Adorned Sphinx can get 12 more crystals beyond their original 12.
^^ Better yet, if Teppy will go for it, 50 tooth limestone slabs - find X # of tooth limestone and bash them into slabs using a sled hammer.
A random number of slabs come from each limestone block - making the number of blocks we need to find between 3 & 6)
^^^ The total score for a 1st Degree Fully Adorned Sphinx is then 150 x 3 = 450 pts. A 2nd Degree Fully Adorned Sphinx is 450 + 450 x the Sphinx Crystal multiplier: 2 (2 full sets of crystals) = 1800 pts
