Overview
In this art test, the urbanist designs a scale model of an urban project, with hills, rivers, compounds, trees, etc.
Designing the scale model
The values are not precise, it's for the dev to make them reasonable
- The egyptian chooses a place somewhere in Egypt and uses some paper and ink to make a plan of the area.
- He then builds the sclae model of the land, using the plan, some basic resources for the base (boards, sheet glass, etc), some sand, grass, clay for the land, and some resin to glue it.
- He can now add compounds, of reduced size (and reduced cost accordingly) the same way as regular compounds. He can also redesign them and paint them.
- Trees can be fashioned and placed in the scale model, using resin of the corresponding trees.
- Special items we can see ingame can also be made, like CS, banners, statues, crumbled pillars, perhaps small avatars, etc. Some gameplay should be involved here, either requiring resources that are not used enough or some special game puzzle like the accoustic lab to tune chimes. Any suggestion is welcome.
Passing the test
As for mosaics, opticons, fountains, etc.
Comments & Suggestions
The idea is nice. A better suited name would be Test of the Worldbuilder, or Test of the Landscaper, since you don't just design a city.

- How about a day-night cycle, with lamps and stuff? -Cappu.
- Is it possible to have mini images of our own bred flowers too? and sculptures? I like the lamps idea and I love Eigams idea :) -ell
- Cool idea. But why a scale model? How about real landscaping?
- Very nice idea, you can also use it to create a "snapshot" of what an area was like, or even to plan future development. -Greenish
