Update 8/14 Someone alerted me that the link on this page was changed to point at a trojan virus... well I am very concerned and hope dearly that noone else was infected! I'm going to upload a .rar version, so make sure you download and decompress that instead of the .exe.

Here is the safe version (right click and save as, then decompress with WinRar: AtitdMacro1.rar

I've come up with some very useful macros for things like mining, weaving, acro, and even charcoal ovens and firepits. The macros are written in a language similar to VBscript using a program called AutoIt! available free from http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/. I've tested most of the functions on two different Windows XP systems with different screen sizes and video cards. There is also a compiled .exe which runs without AutoIt.

Disclaimer: This tool is by no means intended to be used to gain an advantage over other players in the game and is for attended macroing only. That means you can sit back and pick grass with this macro all day long and hardly have to click a thing, but you must be there keeping an eye on what's happening. Lag and other problems can really mess up the macro anyway, so you had better be looking up from your TV or book occasionally ;)

Update 7/30 The new GUI allows you to easily reassign hotkeys and has inline help. Simply select a function, and hit assign to bind a new hotkey, then Save to save all your changes to prefs.txt.

Make sure to delete the old prefs.txt when you get this version!

A few quick tips: Disable the purple "what to do next" and have normal sized action icons or slate/grass/limestone/fish/stat timers won't work. You probably want to enable invisible highlighting (the glow might screw up the firepit) have most messages display in "Main" so they don't obscure the screen. Most macros require you to simply point at the target menu item then hit the hotkey. Delete the prefs.txt file when you download a new version! You can then edit it to your liking.

Macro specific tips:

I've had some reports of the grass and slate macros not working properly, so there's now a generic popup icon click macro (default hotkey alt-j). To use this, simple use the hotkey with the mouse over whatever icon you want to locate and click in the upper right corner. This should work for grass, slate, and clay.

"menu" macros simply click, then click a certain distance from the bottom of the menu, or quickly click a bit to the right, and are by far the macro that I use most often for just about everything with a menu. Pinmenu is also very useful, alt-q by default to pin em up across the screen, then ctrl-q to take em all down. Loadsmelt does this but also clicks in the usual spots for loading 25 cc and 94 ore.

When planting flax or veggies, you should be fairly zoomed out (F5 works well) and trigger the hotkey over a pinned plant seed menu. Anything on the sides of the screen will probably screw it up. After you plant the flax/veggies use the ctrl- [ ] \ keys to harvest.

alt-m waits for the stat timer to disappear and then clicks. alt-n looks for the second place stat timer, and can be used for example if your focus timer will be on for a while. If the macro is clicking too fast, it hasn't found the stat timer, and you need to show it where to look with F1. alt-e can be used over a pinned consume menu to eat grilled food every 3 minutes while you limestone/weave/dig/etc. F2 can be used to adjust the timer on the currently running macro. The alt-k rake macro is a little tricky, because the rake menu needs to refresh.

Charcoal: get about 100 extra wood and a few water in jugs and enable the macro over the oven/hearth menu. It will start it if necessary, or pick up in the middle.

Firepit: zoom in over the pit with F5 so the firepit takes up as much of the screen and possible and lock the camera with Alt-L (built in game command). If you move the camera even a bit you should probably ESC out and restart the macro. The first few seconds after you start the macro will find the max color value for the burning red fire, so it's important that you hit the hotkey with the mouse over the center of a burning red flame, 5-10 seconds after you start the fire should work. The macro will pin the menu for you, watch and click. You can monitor the process with the tooltip in the upper left corner- if it seems to be messing up you can always restart it.

Update 7.21 Many fixes in the latest version... thanks to all who provided feedback and bug reports. Firepit and charcoal have been tweaked and tested, though probably still arent 100% perfect. I ran into some problems with assigning too many hotkeys, so I've simplified the list below and removed some of the ones I never use.

Update 7.19 Some CC bugs fixed... firepit messed up when i was carrying sharpened sticks, will have to fix it later. Misc other bugs fixed... I updated the hotkeys below. Ctrl-[ ] \ or backspace for quick doubleclick hotkeys, and ctrl-+ and ctrl-- do some experimental things for veggie growing. Loadsmelt works better now... hmm im sure theres more. More update: I made some changes to the firepit, but now its letting it smoulder out in my tests... arg. :)

Update 7.17 Bug fixes... many bugs in the version I uploaded this morning have now been fixed. Firepit is working for 30+ min with very few hiccups, charcoal burnt up one batch and smothered another, but is at least 90% successful, and I'm working on glass and veggie growing helpers. The default hotkeys are written to a prefs.txt file in the same directory as the macro, and can be edited to your liking. If you download a new version, make sure to delete this file or you won't get access to the new macros! Here is a list of hotkeys, please read above or chat me ingame for tips on how to use them if the titles aren't enough info.

(Hotkey list removed, hotkeys and help are now available inside the GUI)

Update 7.15 The macro now writes a default hotkey assignment file, prefs.txt that contains all the hotkey mappings. You can edit this file to reassign keys, or delete it to reset to defaults again. New macro: (alt-q by default) pinmenu clicks, pins the menu, moves the window to top left corner. Successfive pinmenus will line the menus up across the top of the screen, and ESC (abort) will close them all.

Update 7.11 Did a lot of work on the cc macro, also fixed several bugs. I keep reassigning hotkeys... i guess the next step is to have a GUI and user custom hotkeys, but thats a little too time consuming for now...then again I have sunk many many hours into this thing already, so it wouldn't be too far a leap.
