My play style is largely soloer, especially because my schedule & free time are very irregular an unpredictable, so I can't make commitments in advance. My first time around, I never got much past mining tech-wise.
This time around, I started in Fool's Paradise, and it's kinda nice here. I ended up learning that The Village was based not to far from my home camp, and their play style seems to match well with my own, so I applied to the guild for admittance, and was eventually accepted. My tech now is still just a little behind the last time I played in Tale 1, although I still feel a couple hundred years behind everyone else. I mean, my neighbors have greenhouses and watermines, and I have yet to even play with metal.
