The Raeli Tiles may be produced in a Raeli Oven by anyone having the Raeli Pottery skill. Raeli Tiles come in many dramatic colours. The Raeli Pottery skill is available, among other places, at the OE UArt (1093, 6519).
The Raeli Oven must be built on clay, and will collect/make 1 tile per 10 minutes it is left dredging before starting the baking process. (Dredging time per tile is actually not the same for all ovens-Tetisheri.) The maximum number that can be made in a batch is unknown, but exceeds 40000. (about 7 months of dredging at that spot)
Firing the Oven consumes 100 petrol after which the oven will slowly proceed from white to black with a variety of intermediate colours unique to the oven. The intermediate colours represent a progression from white to black via an RGB color wheel. (i.e. White - Ghost White - Alice Blue - Lavender - Thistle - Light Steel Blue - Medium Slate Blue Blue - Violet - Blue - Medium Blue - Dark Blue - Navy - Midnight Blue - Black ) It progresses across the band in approximately 2 hours.
You can't remove "some tiles at a time". you have to stop the baking to get the tiles, and then you can't resume baking, but have to start back with more dredging.
Raeli tiles are used in the construction of a sawmill, medium house, the Tomb of the Immortal, and the Raeli Gliderport used in The Test of Flight. They are now also used in The Test Of The Seven Phoenix and The Test Of The Raeli Mosaic
A Funerary Temple can be enchanced with raeli tiles. Adding different colour tiles and many of those will increase the Funerary Temple's glory.
