Rose Of Ra Color Database

This page exists to list Roses of Ra known to work for various requirements of Xenobotany research and the Festival of Maat.

Requirements can be size (Giant, Dwarf, Giant x2, Dwarfx2) or color of leaves, stamen, inner petals, or outer petals (white, magenta, red, yellow, green, cyan, blue).

The sizes "Giant x2" and "Dwarf x2" exist only in crossbreeds. Normal size and Giant Dwarf (75%, 1 giant gene and 1 dwarf gene) exist but have not been requested; Giant Dwarf counts as Giant.

Color appears to be on a CMYK scale, not RGB. A useful program to get color values (turn lighting, time of day off) for roses (and paints) is Visual Color Picker (google it). All the basic flowers appear to have been fully tested at this point. Despite appearances, the inner petals of RD are NOT Red, nor are the leaves of OS green.

Abbreviations and attributes of standard types:

• BH = Blood Heart - magenta leaves and stamen, white inner and outer petals, normal size
• GL = Goldenleaves - yellow leaves, useless stamen, white inner and outer petals, normal size
• HB = Hatch's Bud - yellow leaves, inner and outer petals, cyan stamen, normal size
• OS = Onion Skin - useless leaves, green stamen, magenta inner and outer petals, normal size
• PA = Pantomime - white leaves, stamen, and outer petals, useless inner petals, normal size
• RD = Red Dwarf - yellow leaves, red inner petals, red stamen and outer petals, dwarf size
• WG = White Giant - yellow leaves, yellow stamen, white inner and outer petals, giant size

How to Read This Table

Abbreviations stand for the standard roses, as listed immediately above.
"Hybrids" means this attribute only exists in hybrids; look in the table farther down to find a supplier, and if that fails, click the link to find the names of all reported flowers with the attribute so you can ask around for it by name. A few suppliers of Red Stamen and Red Outer Petal roses are also listed in the lower table, because of the current rarity of Red Dwarf.
