Charcoal Oven

The charcoal oven is used to create charcoal in batches of 100, using approximately 133-140 wood (experienced user). It is the next step in the technological progression from hearths, though modern bonfire techniques and a large quantity of fires (20+?) done at the same time may outperform a group of ovens both for efficiency and speed. Largely people choose the charcoal method that suits them best.

Comments

• The charcoal hearth is the cheaper version of the oven, producing 50 charcoal per batch.
• More, the Charcoal Hearth is a trainer for this. The Hearth has a regulator setting, which gives the user a tradeoff between speed and variability. The Charcoal Oven does not. If you were used to using a Hearth with a regulator setting below "0", be prepared for the oven being a bit tougher.
