Glory Hole

Used to make the advanced glass products:

• Wine Glass from 1 Fine Glass Rod
• Distillation Coil from 1 glass pipe
• Thermometer from 1 Quicksilver and 1 glass pipe
• Barometric Sphere from 1 Glass Rod (must be signed up for the Test of Life to get this option)

Non-glassblowing projects:

• Barometer from 3 Barometric Spheres, 1 lead, 1 glass pipe, 1 water in jugs - the jug is consumed (must be signed up for the Test of Life to get this option)

Construction costs:

• 40 Cut stone
• 600 Firebricks
• 20 Steel Sheeting
• 2 Copper Straps
• 1 Iron Bar

Built: in a compound, uses 13x13 cells

• Barometer quality = average(component spheres) - difference(sphere1, average value) - difference(sphere2, average value) - difference(sphere3, average value)
  • e.g. 3 spheres of quality 5911, 5914 and 6006 produce a quality 5819 barometer
  • average = (5911+5914+6006)/3 = 5943
  • final quality = 5943 - (5943 - 5911) - (5943 - 5914) - (6006 - 5943) = 5943 - 32 - 29 - 63 = 5819
