When placed in a ceremonial tasting table and used to drink wine, these give a chance of additional oenology points. Glass #1 is the center glass on the table, incrementing counter clockwise from there.
Only the owner of a ceremonial tasting table may remove the wine glasses from the table. If a table is guild-owned, only those ranked Fellow or higher in the guild may remove the wine glasses from the table. The Wine Glass Security Act

I've noticed when you don't recieve message about wine glass, try another glass on the table for your second drink. If I don't get message on the 9k quality wine glass, I almost always (approx 90%) get it second time on the 8k wine glass. -Trillian
