Paint Reaction Testing

Version 1.0 of my PaintGuide tool is here. Interactive paint reaction testing based on the procedures (and some of the code) from Quizzical's programs on the forum thread Techniques for Watching Paint Dry. Run the program, select or deselect ingredients you're interested in, load an existing reactions.txt if you wish to add or retest results, and save full or partial test runs in your reactions.txt to come back later & finish.

Note that you will still need Sigil's PracticalPaint to search out your optimal recipes using this test data.

Simply pin your mixer window (I recommend putting it in the upper left of your game window), and copy/paste screenshots of the suggested tests as the program guides you through. Make the recipe suggested next to the Paste button, copy the screen with the print screen key, then click the Paste buton. When you paste the first image, the program will ask you to click on the pasted image in the red color bar of the mixer to automatically calibrate the measurement code. After clicking, if the progam finds all three color bars, it will perform the measurement and store it automatically. As each test succeeds, that entry is grayed out in the list and the next measurement is suggested.

If the first recipe is indecisive, such as a reaction bottomed out or maxed the color, an alternate test will be suggested. These build on the original test, so don't empty your lab until the test has succeeded!

While it's easiest to simply follow the program's lead, you can freely click in the test list to select tests out of sequence, or the check box to reverse the ingredient sequence, too.
