Festival Of Hathor

To please Hathor, you must surround an altar with sheep, chickens, and rabbits; eat a food that will raise three random statistics; and sacrifice an ambrosia of beer and cobra blood (from Cobra Pits).

Preparations

First, find somebody to make your ambrosia of beer and cobra blood. Hathor beer requirements consist of a potency and a flavor. For example, "Potent Barley" or "Very Potent Cherry".

To find someone who can supply your ambrosia, check the Beer Inventory page. Make sure to let your supplier know you want a Hathor ambrosia; they may need you to supply the cobra blood.

Next, get your food ready. Here are a couple of recipes that should work for almost everybody:

"+Everything!" food

(380 servings, 156 flavor, 5m50s duration)

Should be able to be made with a smaller or larger base as long as the 5 Abdju/5 Camel Meat/4 Mutton base ratio is maintained. Leaving out the Kuka spice should give you "Everything but Perception" food. Thanks to Quizzical for the recipe!

- If you don't want to use Kuka, you can use the following 3 items in its place: Camel Milk, Onion and Barley or Malt. - FeltonBender

"+Everything but Con" food

(16 servings)

"+Everything but End" Food

( 21 servings .. 5m8s of str1, dex1, end-6, spd2, con1, foc2, per1 your mileage may vary)

+Con, +End and:

The following recipes are very unreliable. Test them before getting the other required items.
+Foc
14 camel+14 chicken+1 garlic+1 leek+1 onion+1 DR
+Per
14 chicken+14 garlic+1 leek+1 onion+1 DR
+Str
6 camel+6 mutton+1 leek+1 onion
+Dex
6 camel+6 mutton+1 cabbage+1 leek+1 onion

Check this page for the locations of altars where kitchens containing Hathor food have been prepared.

Procedure

  1. Drop three of each animal (sheep, rabbits, and chickens) around the altar. Sex doesn't matter. (Roosters and hens work equally well.) The animals must be dropped separately -- dropping one pile of three sheep will not work. Don't worry about your animals running away; animals in ancient Egypt have lead feet and will remain stationary for about an hour before being sucked into the earth.
  2. Eat your food. Be sure each of your three stats has been increased.
  3. Sacrifice your ambrosia at the altar.
