There are several planes of existance in the virtual world of ATITD. Most of them are only used by developers,
game masters, or builders, but some of them have functions for ordinary players as well.
Most locations given by the game are in the form "<plane> <coordinates>". For example, the "Where Am I?" option under Navigation will show a message in the form, "Your World Coordinate position is egypt at 1300, -300." This means that you are on the "egypt" plane at the coordinates 1300, -300.
- egypt
- This is the plane where the game occurs. Chances are, unless you're a GM, you'll be here.
- builder
- Most notable for the location of Game Masters guildhall. Not much else is known.
- bes
- Location of the [immigrant islands]?. New players are placed on the islands after character creation, and mentors can travel here using Welcome Banners.
- oz
- This plane contains control structures, mushroom generators, and automated test passers. Details are very sparse about what goes on here, but apparently there is a yellow brick road.
- pandora
- ATITD's testing grounds, where new tests are "debugged". Some events have also been held here in the past.
- arena
- The only plane (other than bes) which players can travel to at will, using an Arena to Wepwawet (aka Conflict Shrine). Conflict games are played here. This plane is more commonly known as Wepwawet.
- nowhere
- It is not actually known if this plane exists. However, the /info of a guild which has been torn down reveals the location to be "nowhere 0 0", so nowhere is listed here for completion.
