Treated boards are produced in a
wood treatment tank from ordinary
boards and may have multiple properties depending on how they were treated.
The final outcome will be a set of boards with named properties where the attributes were particularly high or low:
- Flexibility: Very low = "Rigid", very high = "Pliable"
- Cuttability: Very low = "Hard", very high = "Soft"
- Flammability: Very low = "Fireproof", very high = "Volatile"
- Water resistance: Very high = "Rotproof"
- Insect Toxicity: Very low = "Termite-prone", very high = "Termite-resistant"
- Human Toxicity: Very low = "Nontoxic"
- Darkness: Very low = "White", low = "Blonde", very high = "Black"
- Glossiness: Very high = "Glossy"
A complex item, treated boards appear in inventory as "Treated boards:<property list>" where <property list> is one or more of the properties listed above, e.g.
- Treated Boards:Blonde
- Treated Boards:Nontoxic Termite-resistant
