Budget Cooking Recipes

OK, the aim of the game here is to create decent stat recipes using only common ingredients. What are common ingredients? I guess anything you have is common, so lets say.....

TypeIngredients
Vegetables Cabbages, carrots, garlic, leeks, onions
FishCatfish, chromis, carp, perch, tilapia
MeatMutton
Mushrooms Peasant foot, iron knot, cobra hood
Extras Flax seed oil, cabbage juice, dates
Herbs None

Is this an arbitrary list? Yup. For instance, I can catch a lot more oxyrynchus than chromis, but oxy is listed as uncommon so its not included here. PF, IK and CH grow in large numbers in the areas I frequent often, so to me they're easily obtainable. This may not be the case in your area

Borderline ingredients: Again, pretty arbitrary, taking as a guideline the ingredients which may not be easily obtainable by a newcomer to our lands. I've tried to avoid using these ingredients, and to keep them as lesser ingredients when they are used

Borderline ingredients are camel meat, camel milk, abdju, oxyrynchus

Whats the Point? Well, firstly, its a hobby, secondly, I thought it would be nice to see what kind of bases can be cooked cheaply to give an extra 'oomph' to herbs.

The tools: These recipes have been designed using Kinnikens 'Cordon Bleu' utility, with the interactions between ingredients tweaked to match my observations. And all reipes listed here have been prepared using Cooking Level 3 - when I get time, I'll fire up a mule to check what a level 1 cook will get.

Helpma-1

Add the ingredients as listed, starting from the top and working down. Duration and stats at various points are shown in the table.
IngredientDurationStrDexEndSpdConFocPer

=>4 Perch11 mins+1-5+7 +7-5
4 carrots
=>3 catfish21 mins -4+6 +5-4

=>2 camel meat30 mins -4+5 +5-4
=>2 onions33 mins -4+5 +5-4

As can be seen, the primary ingredients (cabbage/flax seed) seem to control the overall stats, with the stat effect being diluted as more ingredients are added. So as in all stat cooking, its a play-off between stats and duration. To add herbs to this base, increase the number of each base ingredient by at least three, then add 3 or fewer debens per herb.
With Level 1 cooking, this recipe will give 0 str, 0 dex, +2 end, 0 spd, 0 con, +2 foc, 0 per, duration 38 mins

Helpma-2

This gives a longer duration base, but uses camel meat and abdju

Charcoal Macro

Charcoal prep is now done with two macros - using window resolution 1024 x 768, pin the bonfire window (Self>Projects>Charcoal) in the top right cornerrun cc-setup to make an array of 4 x 4 2-wood bonfires (cartographer view). Open and pin each bonfire window, stacking them in the bottom right corner of the screen. Then run cc-firebonfires to fire the bonfires. You'll need 144 wood for each set of bonfires, which should yield 80 cc. (Macros are for ACTool). Macros should never be used unattended, and frankly if you suffer from lag then I wouldn't bother with these ones.
