Ancient History
In the times of our ancestors, the north-western corner of our civilisation was sparse, but idyllic. It's bountiful and diverse flora and fauna, abundant forested territories and lake-riddled terrain made it a sight to behold.
However...
Between the time of our ancestors, and our own recorded history, a disaster occured.
The earliest memories of our current generation point to the massive and impenetrable walls that were raised to surround the regions once known as 'Pharaoh's Bay' and 'Valley Of Kings'.

Qatara Meteors
In an earlier chapter of the event, we discovered the existence of a number of mysterious altars. Each has a puzzle associated with it, and sucessfully answering the question at each in order gives you a 'Meteor Fragment', an 'Unusual Stone' and a 'Jagged Rock'. The following documents the discover of these, and the answers to the puzzles. Note that these objects are still available, and are integral to solving the greater puzzles as described further in this page, and to the completion of this event.
- June 8
People in Qatara began reporting odd messages in game regarding a "desert wind" blowing from a certain direction. Following those directions led to an altar by the Valley of Kings wall at -869, 7454 that allowed people to type in a word and meditate on it. The altar is, in fact, a puzzle to figure out the password. The solution to the puzzle may be found here, or you may go there and attempt to solve it yourself.
- June 9
A second message about a strange wind emanating from a certain direction appears to various people in Qatara, leading to another mysterious altar at -868, 5876. This altar is also a puzzle, with a password as the solution. The solution may be found here, or you may go there and attempt to solve it yourself.
- NOTE: If you have not already solved the puzzle at the first altar, you will not be able to meditate on the second one.
- June 10
The wind returned again, and directed the people of Qatara to a third altar at -857, 5004. Like the first two altars, this is also a puzzle with a password. The solution may be found here, or you may go there and attempt to solve it yourself.
