Welcome to VoK Research

Guild house located at -1675, 4354

We are based at the Desert of Shades entrance to Valley of the Kings and aim to hold regular events to finally open up the land of our forefathers. To do this we need YOUR help.

Membership is entirely free although donations of bricks and boards (or wood) are greatly appreciated to help expand the guild house).

To save you sorting through all the information here, Jzalae has put together a step by step guide to VoK. Feel free to /chat him in game with any questions you have--he uses questions to make the guide better.

WARNING - READ THIS FIRST

WARNING: Do *NOT* under any circumstances to do following while within the Valley Of Kings region:

• DO NOT build, plant or place any object or building.
• DO NOT attempt to set a Waypoint within VoK, Waypoint in or Spousewarp in. There have been no issues with people successfully warped out.
• DO NOT try to bore tooth limestone

Performing any of these actions will 'anger the gods', and result in everybody within the region being forcibly teleported away, causing stress and hassle for everybody. There is also a very high risk of plague transmission - you are immune within VoK, but when 10 people land on top of each other at a Chariot Stop, mass infection is common. Should you 'anger the gods', they will issue a warning to the player who 'did not tread lightly" in System for all to see.

We may wish to add here things that folk CAN do in the Valley. What do you think? -Philly

It has been confirmed that some very limited activites are allowed including:

• Trapping otters
• Catching frogs
• Tracking (and tagging) gazelles
• Collecting herbs and mushrooms
• Injure and collect Cactus Sap
• Collect wood from trees, pick up silt, gather grass etc.
• Nick trees and collect resin
• Dropping things collected from within VoK
• Setting (but not using!) a waypoint
• Setting and lighting ground fireworks
• Dropping hookahs and assembling and flying airships
