General Information
A Basic Fishing Pole is the basic (and so far, only available) tool used in fishing. Upon first learning Fishing skill at a School of the Human Body, you are given a free Basic Fishing Pole.
You can craft additional Basic Fishing Poles from your Skills->Assembly menu out of 1 Sharpened Stick and 25 twine.
Basic Fishing Poles may be incorporated into sculptures.
Uses
Once the Fishing skill is learned, you will get a "Fish" action icon in the upper right corner of your screen whenever you are near water. Simply click on the icon while carrying a fishing pole to try to catch a fish.
