For the wiki to be a useful point of reference, it needs to be kept regularly up-to-date. The wiki is player-written, so everyone has a role to play in making it comprehensive and accurate and current. This is our reference for the game, we should make it the best we can!
When pages are updated, often they are only updated on one language version of the page (e.g. updated in English but not in French because the player isn't bilingual). Ideally, these updates should be spotted and the changes updated on the French page too. Since the wiki is player-written, there is no "official person" to do this - its something many people can help with.
Certain pages will need cross-translations regularly, for instance the News and Events Calendar page has frequent changes. There's an easy way to see what pages have been updated recently. Click on the recent changes link at the top of any wiki page. This lists every page that has been edited in the last few days.
Look through the list for pages that you are interested in - for instance you can ignore the User pages, but want to look out for changes on major pages like news and events, or resources / buildings / guides pages.
When you find a page that may need changes translating, look at the page itself by clicking the link. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "view other revisions" link. You can use this page to compare the new page against previous versions and see how the text has changed.
Then translate the changes and update the French/German... page.
Automatic links to translations can be done with the syntax:
$TRANSLATION <language code> <translated page>
You can have one translation statement for each language.
$TRANSLATION fr Wiki-fr $TRANSLATION en Wiki/Translations $TRANSLATION de Wiki-de/Flachsanbau
