Thoth and Ra Wines

Wines for the Festival of Thoth must be 2 or more vintages old and at least 12% alcohol.
Wines for the Festival of Ra must be 2 or more vintages old and at least 10% alcohol.

If you need Ra/Thoth festival ambrosia:

Please give your vintner at least a couple of days' notice with your order.
To prevent waste, please do not contact more than one vintner at a time.
Please chat your vintner directly rather than putting your requirement in FCN, which could scroll too quickly.
Deeva is drawing from Calixes' wine cellar, so if Calixes is out of a flavor, don't ask Deeva it.
(For Ra) Your vintner may not have spirits. Talk to a spirit supplier for that.
There may be more wine suppliers than listed below. Ask in FCN if those below cannot meet your needs.

Making Festival Wines

If you've got some knowledge about Viticulture, know your flavor spots already, and would like to make festival wines, here are a few things I've figured out that might help:

Given my new data (see below), I suspect that using a vine that gives as many grapes as possible with at least 50 sugar would be the best bet to maximize festival wine output, but in the meantime, Eigam Copper Plus or Cali's Favorite will do fine.
When putting grapes into the barrel, use grapes from at least two vineyards together in one barrel. More may not be advisable, though. I'm testing this now.
Mix harvests from vineyards that produce non-festival flavors with harvests that produce at least one of the festival flavor. This will increase the number of bottles of the useful wines.
Ferment all festival wines to 12% so they can cover both Ra and Thoth. Age all wine to two vintages old, but no need to wait longer.

Yay, helpful discoveries!

* As long as your wine grapes contains the flavor you need, the wine does not need to be aged more than two vintages. This means festival wines will require about a month to make from vine to ambrosia rather than up to four months previously thought!
* I have successfully used a very old wine that has lost the ambrosia flavor needed. Very old wines will work if you know they had the flavor.

Notes/Testing:

I suspect the "hard flavor cap" on per-vineyard wines (3) or multi-vineyard mixes (7) we see during tasting might have no effect on whether the wine will work in ambrosia. I expect it might work as long as the vineyard(s) used are capable of picking up the flavor you need.

If I'm correct, this could mean two things:
* There is no need to worry about any vine stat other than Grapes (with a little sugar)
* Using grapes from multiple vineyards will work regardless of the hard flavor cap.

I am experimenting with a batch of wine now that contains equal parts of grapes of each festival flavor. I'll try the vine idea next. ~Calixes

To add your name to the table, make a bullet list (using "*") of the festival wine flavors that you have on your user or guild page and then add the tag "$INVENTORY Wines_Thoth" above it. Please only include flavors that you have bottles of ready to go (12% and 2 vintages old). Please do not include a flavor if you do not have bottles on hand.

After you've saved your changed page, please make sure that your details match up with the other suppliers so the list doesn't get bloated.

If you copy the data above to start your list, please be sure to remove the spaces in front of each line, or it won't work. Using "$INVENTORY Wines_Thoth" for both Ra and Thoth will do, since Thoth wines will work for Ra requirements. No sense in having multiple pages.

Q: Are the requirements for Ra/Thoth ambrosias always just one flavor?
A: Yes, but there may be something else you need (like spirits for Ra).

Q: Does a wine with more flavors than the one I need work?
A: Yes. As long as the wine has the flavor you need, extra flavors won't hurt anything.

Q: Will a multiple flavor wine work for multiple reqs? For example, will a Prune/Apple/Roses wine satisfy a Prune, Apple or Roses requirement?
A: Yes, that wine would satisfy all three requirements, but you'll need one bottle of the wine per ambrosia.
