Reactory
General Information
- Alloys are produced in a reactory by smelting metals (not ore).
- It is fueled by 100 oil
- It takes 8h to cook, warmup time is 5 teppy minutes to 1 hour - this appears to be random; adjacent ovens may have different warm up times if run simultaneously.
- This means that with normal server conditions (ie no crashes or roll backs) a reactory will finish cooking between 8h 53m and 10h 35m REAL TIME after you fire it.
- for every deben of initial material, it appears that 1 clinker or 1 alloy results. The more alloy, the less clinker.
- Do NOT leave results in a Reactory. Alloy is consumed if the Reactory is fired.
- Generally, more alloy is produced per batch when doped once with Towering Palm (tree) Resin near the end of the firing as described below, for all but a few unusual alloys.
- Doping times are teppy time, not real time or game time.
Standard Alloys
These alloys follow the normal doping patterns.
- In real life Brass is made from Copper and Zinc, unlike ATITD:
- Brass is produced using 3n-1 copper, n tin.
- (Full load is 149 copper, 50 tin)
- Doping near the end enhances the brass output dramatically. Best known yield is 145 brass, doped at 7:59:35 or later.
- Brass Research for raw brass data.
- In real life Bronze is made from Copper and Tin (and sometimes phosphorus, manganese, aluminium, or silicon to make different bronzes), unlike ATITD:
- Bronze is produced using 3n silver, n brass.
- (Full load is 150 silver, 50 brass)
- Doping near the end enhances the bronze output dramatically. Best known yield is 164 bronze, doped between 7:59:30 and 7:59:57. If you really want 1 more bronze, dope at 7:59:58.
- Bronze Research for raw bronze data.
- In real life Steel is made with Carbon (Charcoal), Limestone, Iron Ore and Wrought Iron, unlike ATITD:
- Steel is produced using n tin, 3n+1 iron.
- (Full load is 148 iron, 49 tin)
- Doping near the end enhances the steel output dramatically. Best known yield is 139 steel, doped at 7:58:50 or later.
- Steel Research for raw steel data.
- In real life Pewter is made with mostly tin and small amounts of copper, antimony, and/or bismuth; unlike ATITD:
- The formula for Pewter is 7 Platinum + N Antimony = 7+N pewter. Doping is as usual once in last minute of run.
- (Full Load is 193 Atimony + 7 Plantinum , dope at 7:59:45 = 200 Pewter)
- Doping at 7:55:00 or maybe even earlier also yields 200 pewter. -Barek-
- Doping at 7:52:00 yielded 200 pewter. -strutter-
- Doping at 7:50:00 yielded 199 pewter. -strutter-
- Doping at 7:35:00 yielded 188 pewter. -bskirk-
- Doping at 7:01:00 yielded 168 pewter. -bskirk-
- Pewter Research for raw pewter data.
- Recipe theory is: ((n+Ti)*2)+Ti Iron, n gold, int(n/2) Titanium
- Equivalent (for even gold): 7n iron, 2n gold, n titanium
- Doping increases output dramatically, as usual: 140 Iron, 20 Titanium, 40 Gold -doped- at 7:59:00 = 126 Sun Steel
- Sun Steel for raw Sun Steel data.
Non Standard Alloys
The following alloys differ from the above ones in the following:
- These alloys must be doped at multiple and specific times for any yield of the alloy.
- Given the yields for the above alloys, it is suspected that there are ideal timings that would yield 100+ of each alloy.
- See the research pages for each alloy for the best known timings. There is a lot of research left to be done in this area.
Available on the Anvil to make tools.
- Full load 77 bronze 119 pewter OR 55:141 --Primoz
- Current best known yield is 56 Thoth's Metal from 55 bronze and 141 pewter.
- See Thoth's Metal for doping timings.
- Current working recipe: 7n iron, 2n silver, n titanium
- Best known yield is 58 Moon Steel for a full load of 140 iron, 40 silver and 20 titanium.
- See Moon Steel for doping timings.
Special Alloys
The alloys below are made by having the materials in your inventory when you pass a
test.
NOTE: "I have to remind you that creating new trial accounts is against the Terms of Service. If you already have 1 Paid account, all new accounts you create have to be paid as soon as possible." ~ TheMazeEcho. poils au dos
Aphophis has stated that trial accounts are not able to create alloy to prevent rampant breaking of the ToS. Only paid accounts can create octec's alloy ~ThePheonix
