25 January 2008 News

The last year in T3 (we hope). We saw a lot of you at the excellent new years party in UE. That was great.

Sadly at the end of the last year we had to say goodbye to Seshat and MarvL. We hope to see them again in T4, or at the end of T3.

Most of us are working on tests atm, and we've seen many Sunsetters progress in the last couple of months.

A few of us are working on Uni Research, most notably sumtet, who singlehandedly is making the most progress towards unlocking Advanced Chemistry 3 in Karnak.
If you want to help, gathering resins is where we need help. Especially resin gatherers in other regions than 7L. Spirits and cc is currently being provided by McArine.

We've been expanding a bit. The labs cp has been expanded, and now has plenty of room inside. We have added a lot of Alembics, to supply spirits for the chemistry research. Atm only one is initiate, if you want to use more than one, please contact an Elder, and we'll give you access to the number of Alembics you want.

The metals cp has also been expanded. To provide room for another 9 ccovens. We now have a total of 15 ccovens next to each other. So come up to Sunset to process all your wood.

In the last update we mentioned sumtets 8x giant water lily. Well after that he decided to go for small. So he made the milly lily(7x small, if I remember right), which can be seen in Orchids formal garden, just north of Sunset Papyrus guild hall.

The future of this tale still holds 10 tests to be released. It is expected that some of them are going to need group efforts, so if you're interested in helping/joining these efforts, just say so in guild chat, and we'll get you involved, as the elders will certainly be involved in these tests.

See you around Sunset soon :-)

4 November News

Many of us has been cranking away on the Mega test. But we still manage to do some things for our own projects and the guild buildings.

Sumtet and Orchid has managed to grow an 8x giant water lily, go check it out at 1333, 1720.
Durgan has built our chemical bath, and earned himself a kinsman position in Enterprises.
McArine has finished his Empty Hand tower at 1260, 2240.

A bit has been happening in our compounds.
The metals compound now has 20 smelting pots. And we're planning for two more reactorys.
The paper factory has gotten 10 more sturdy tubs south of the gem cutting table. These should not be rebuild when they crumble, we want the space to be available.
The camel pens have all been changed to Enterprise Kinsman, after we again lost 100k straw. When we get a fourth camel pen up for straw storage, the east camel pen will go back to it's previous setting. Please do not use take all around that camel pen, you will for certain get stuck, and we will loose a lot of supplies.
The lab building has been expanded, and will be reorganised soon. It now also has a chemical bath (don't dump the acid, use the tongs) and three more alembics. We are keeping space for a total of 16 mutagenics labs, so place keep donating herb seeds for that.

And pleace consider donating a cornerstone to one of the below listed buildings.

26 September News

You may have noticed that MarvL and Seshat are no longer playing ATITD. There are various reasons, all of which end up centering on a lack of interest in grinding through tests that lack new features, but are still delayed for no obvious reason.

Our Chests and Tents have been released to Sunset Projects. We'll keep our accounts active until Christmas, or until you've had an opportunity to replace the following cornerstones.

MarvL will be quitting at Christmas (Yendor is heir)
1124 2686 White Sands
1235 2250 SuumCirque's Mosaic Table in the Caldera
1390 2310 Carpentry Compound

Seshat quit on Nov 18 (Sumtet is heir)
1235 2229 - McArine
1455 2290 - Durgan
1460 2250 - sumtet
1470 2282 - Ankhesensumtet

08 August News

Trade chest 452 in Metals has temporarily been co-opted for Pyro. We have nice numbers of donated ores, including the following from Quiz's legacy tent:

...as well as additional Titanium and Tungsten donations. These ores have been moved from the Pyro 1 chest to free room and in preparation for a large smelting run. Chest ownership may need to be changed to Projects?

4 August News

The Empty Hand Tower is built in Caldera Park. Now we have to add 1/7 blocks to it. Each block requires:

Plus items that vary for each block, and you can't reroll:

To help with prospecting for Marble, Kitchen #2 has 50 servings of 8K Carry, 35 Speed, 58 Perception, 1h20m.

If you need to do some really serious hauling, we have 14 servings of 32.5 K carry for MarvL's Raeli Oven project.

We have a new Essence of Harmony in the middle of camp. Mainly, it just looks cool, but it also allows you to prophesy which individuals will past tests.

1 August News

Sunset is embarking on an Empty Hand Tower as a group project. Please sign up for any parts you can provide. Items in bold are complete:

Completed items* are stashed in the project chest in Flax at 1435,2250. Partial items and raw materials are in Quizzical's adjoining tent.

Very special thanks to Orchid, who in addition to donating time and build materials, donated a whopping 5 pinch rollers for upgrading the Sunset distaffs for this project.

23 July News

Pyro has been slightly re-jigged to compensate for a poor calculation of needed resource ratios. (Saltpeter is the key resource, as it is needed to make Gunpowder at 10:1:1 [SP:CC:SU]. It is also used to make the fireworks themselves. Sulfur, on the other hand, is needed in less vast quantities than I had originally anticipated.)

The Pyro Complex in Metals now has 8 tubs for making salts, two chests (Pyro 1 and 2) for materials, and 2 new tubs exclusively for converting Sulfur Water (SW) to Sulfur (SU). The Sturdy Tubs in Papyrus are back to exclusive Salt Peter production, with water and dung in the Pyro 3 chest there. 850 jugs of SW have been moved to the Pyro 2 chest in Metals, and 500 left in the tent for making acid. When we reach for the supplies in the tent, it's time to re-stock!

Pyro Daily Maintenance Routine:

When gunpowder needs to be made again, all supplies for it should be found in Pyro 1. Easy!

There are 250 Platinum Ore in Qizzicals's Legacy tent should anyone feel like smelting platinum, of which we have no salts :)

21 July 2007 News

We've finished our Raeli Oven Management spreadsheet, and we're currently visiting the available ovens to ensure that everything works as intended. Pay some serious attention to Raeli Ovens, and start thinking about how handy it would be to have a Raeli Oven as a destination while you are foraging, shrooming, and hunting for Safari animals and Cicadas.

Did I mention Funerary Temples?

11 July 2007 News

Kinsman SuumCuique is our champion on the Mutagenics Labs effort. Two of the eight labs are complete, and a third is nearly complete. At 500 Herb Seeds per lab, this is a heroic effort. You may want to read up on Mutagenics, and get involved in the research. Once we discover useful mutagens (new strains of wheat, flax, flowers, etc) production of that mutagen ties up a lab for a month real time, which is why we need several labs.

Jenchy is our champion on the expansion of the Metals Compound. We're adding four Reactories and a Fleet Furnace. Several of our recent members are getting into the tests that eat metal, so this is pretty important.

Eimear is our champion on the creation of our infrastructure for the fabrication of Fireworks. Pyrotechnics is only a Level 11 skill, and it's very interesting, but it's also very demanding of resources. Wheee BANG! can get expensive.

Keep your eyes open, and do please ask SuumCuique, Jenchy, and Eimear how you can help out, and what they might need that you can contribute to these efforts.

Sumtet and McArine are cranking away on a Chemistry protocol for isolating essence attributes.

<g> Sumtet is trying to remember that he wants to provide well-behaved Glazier's Benches.

Yendor is getting the Aqueduct line raised high enough so that you'll be able to add a Tower as soon as you reach level 17. He's also trying to determine which towers will support which types of herb.

Orchid is lassoing people to come look at her new Mosaic and Opticon, and is pushing hard to determine production methods for the various mosses that we will be needing for Mutagenics research.

Seshat is into Phase II of her thistle research, sorting out the secondary reactions, so that we can reliably produce raw silk.

MarvL is out looking for neglected Raeli Ovens.

10 July 2007 News

While you're running around Egypt, keep your eyes open and let us know about any Raeli Ovens that have more than 20,000 unburned tiles. We'll contact the sponsors, and see if we can broker those ovens.

We have created a better spreadsheet for tracking Raeli Oven burns. Check it out at Raeli Ovens.

We currently have direct access to 83 of the 142 colors.

8 July 2007 News

Sumtet is running an exhaustive Chemistry research protocol and needs your help with some Resins:

Kitchen #8 (SW corner) has 49 Masterpiece servings of 18K Carry with 52 Perception for 1h17m48s.

Wheat grains and Jugs are available in the clay patch chest in Caldera Park, and in the Cooking 536 chest. We need lots of Wheat, and the various roasts, for cooking.

Take a look at our local UThought, and the donation requirements. They actually need Perch and Dirt, so have at it.

Building a Mutagenics Lab is an obvious Sunset Enterprises Kinsman project for those of you who are interested in another promotion. A production run ties up the lab for 30 RL DAYS.

We've filled two more alcoves with Trade Chests. You're encouraged to recruit your friends and contacts, and get them involved in Sunset Papyrus.

29 June 2007 News

We rewrote Chickens and the associated Slats page that explains how to operate the Chicken Coops. Nobody had bothered to figure it out, but it's pretty simple.

We need a lot more Jugs, for growing Wheat, so we added a dozen pottery wheels.

We're getting low on carrots, we're down to 30 female bunnies. We have a special deal for those of you who are working on a Funary Temple. 2:1 on Carrots:Tiles, or 1:50 Bunnies:Tiles.

Our current group of new members will be getting into metal working shortly, and we'll be needing lots of wood.

We did add a transfer chest at the north end of the Flax Compound.

We flipped our Thistle Gardens to the Seven Lakes Public Builders Association (SLPBA) and 20/40 Gardens are now in place.

1 July 2007 Status Report

100 Flax (Mauve)

Our middle tier facilities include 6 Small Distaffs (the northeast one can make Cable), 4 Hackling Racks, and 2 Hand Looms.

Our advanced tier build out includes 7 Large Distaffs and 4 Flax Gins.

Tedra's Folly is the best of the current waterless flax seed, and a supply is available in the small seed chest near the Looms.

The Large Chest near the 2 Hackling Rake is for Sunset Projects.

Our first set of Indonesian Beehives is behind the flax compound.

200 Pottery (Red)

15 True Kilns, 24 Pottery Wheels, 3 Mason's Benchs, 10 Rock Saws, a Pottery Deck, and a Vault Kiln. There are also 3 very well behaved Glazier's Benches, the adjacent chest tells you the specs. (Our main glass capability is out at the White Sands compound.)

The Tent near the Pottery Deck is for Sunset Projects

The location of Sunset Papyrus Initiate permitted mines is inscribed in the lid of the chest in the middle of the compound. Holler if the mines need to be repaired, and please don't use them for heavy production. Sunset Enterprises has dozens of production mines.

300 Carpentry is an example of the recommended GemFacets16 expansion. We have an example compound of each style, plus a single sector compound for experiments. We don't worry about repairing the models because they don't contain any equipment.

The Carpentry Annex, the third compound in the row of models, has 9 additional Carpentry Benches. If you drop the walls you will discover the Sunset Projects guildhall, which we use for bulk storage of Bricks and Boards, and if you look even closer, you'll discover that we have a huge bonfire in the attached shed, for the bulk storage of wood.

400 Mining (Blue)

2 Barrel Vises, an Acid Bath, a Fleet Furnace, a Pigback Furnace, a Smelting Block, 12 Smelting Pots, 2 Reactories, a Master and 8 Student Forges (all fully upgraded), 2 Master and 2 Student Casting Boxes, 2 Gearbox Assembly Tables, 6 Charcoal Ovens, a Anvil, and tools.

There are also several Tombs of the Immortals, Pathmakers, and Veneries in Caldera Park.

900 Bijou (Olive Green)

Six competition tables need your attention, and we have a Bijou table for each of the standard cuts other than the Tiki Mask. There's an associated Venery that describes how to accomplish each of the gem cuts.

Tasting (Wine Red)

White Sands (Bisque - straight north of Caldera Park, you can see the White Sand in an F7 view)

15 Glaziers Benches, 5 of each type.

Our Pyramid Site is also near the White Sands Compound. 28 Tooth Limestone blocks are already up. Do please enroll at Pyramid to search one or more 1x50 coordinate sectors.

Successfully boring for a block is one of the steps for the Principles of True Leadership. If our pyramid is one of the first seven of a type, everybody will also get a nomination certificate.

Mines

14 Iron Mines and 10 Copper Mines, plus assorted other metals and gems. There's a list at Sunset Enterprises.
