There appears to be a cabbage blight day followed by a cabbage seed day in each region. On the blight day cabbage yields from to 1/2, 1/4 and maybe 1/8th of normal (pattern observed has been a 1/2 yield day, then a 1/4 yield day, then normal yield but giving extra seeds for the third day -Dakiara). On the day following the blight, the occasional cabbage plant will yield 2 seeds instead of the normal 1. The days appear to vary from region to region.
Seed reproduction

- Tried planting the morning of Peret I-25, heard reports of drastically reduced yields and got only 2 cabbage/plant myself; my guess is the actual day is the 26th. —AatonPulonich

- Confirmed. Grew right by the CS, roughly the same rate as Narafeti. This was between ~6am and 8am Egypt time. —AatonPulonich

- Several reports of extra seeds on Peret II-2; looks like this one's confirmed. —AatonPulonich
- BTep reported half yields on Peret I-30, meaning the likely date for seed reproduction is the second of the month, not the first. —AatonPulonich

From monitoring this in Khartoum, we noticed that the yield decreased as follows:-- Dakiara
- First day (Peret 1-16) - 1/2 normal cabbage yield
- Second day (Peret 1-17) - 1/4 of the normal cabbage yield
- Third day (Peret 1-18) - back to normal cabbage yield, extra seeds observed throughout the day, on average every 3-4 plantings (23/77 measured, can make data available on request -- Nile River Ecologists )
- First day (Peret 1-16) - 1/2 normal cabbage yield
- Cots - 7th -- Fryoj
- Fools Paradise - 6th
- Sinai
- 11th - 10 cabbages
- 12th - 5 cabbages
- 13th is a normal day - grew 20 batches without seeds, perhaps just unlucky?

- planting cabbage and having husband harvest i got a return of 2 cabbage seeds, it seems a female planting with any male harvesting will get 2 extra seeds per 10 plants average this is a random seed reproductction not everytime done with husband and another man harvesting both recived extra seeds from my planting -- Moira

- planted with female growing/watering, male harvesting, no seeds; female planting, male watering/harvest, no seeds; and reverse with female harvesting, no seeds, all with shrinkage, and no shrinkage, no seeds; also with other people around, and no one else around, no seeds; I think there's another variable at play here. -- Bort
- Grei and I found that planting cabbage with carrots nearby resulted in some/all of the cabbage plants yielding two seeds. Further investigation is necessary (as it wasn't consistent for me). —AatonPulonich
- Further notes: Grei discovered the duplication around the time the increased carrot yield band was passing through the area; Grei, Arch and I were all at roughly the same x-coord at the time of the tests, and both Arch and I stopped getting seeds not long after the band had passed through our area (though we didn't test this rigorously).
- I had one duplication out of several mixed cabbage/carrot tests (the very first one, in fact) at about the same time as AatonPulonich, 95 coords or so north of him with nobody within about 50 coords of me. -- Archilochus
- Looks like this theory might be a bust; next time the carrot wave came through, I got nada. The data below also accurately reflects the phenomenon Arch, Grei and I saw, so we probably just missed something.
- I witnessed this phenomina without the carrot band. It looks like if you plant carrot seeds and then plant cabbage seeds directly after it. Then those cabbage that are havested at the right time return 2 seeds. I was able to reproduce results and and still researching. But seems to have nothing to do with banding. I am on my Garlic day as well. Order of plants may extend before carrots. My planting cycle was garlic leeks carrots cabbage --Lathrod

- Further notes. One person in region was getting cabbage seeds without planting carrots. It looks like most of a minute will not yeild extra seeds, but if cabbage are harvested in those 3-5 seconds they return double. Today is Y1 PerretII 29 4:00am - 5:30am --Lathrod
- I have randomly gotten a second seed after 10pm egypt time(Will try earlier next time). 7 extra seeds in about 55 harvests. (Not married, single male). No luck with seeds after midnight.

Just tried again today Peret I-6, Around 2:00 AM in 7 Lakes and got extra seeds. Don't know if its a coincidence that last month on day 6 and this month cabbage seeds reproduced or not.

- I began planting around 4:29 AM in my usual spot, and noticed I was getting an extra seed about one in ten plantings. I tested with three different avatars/accounts, and all received extra seeds. There was no dependancy on proximity to another avatar or to a spouse. All three avatars are married, two to each other, and the third to another character that remained offline the entire time. I tested at several different locations, some widely spaced, and finally noticed that the extra seed yield stopped as soon as I crossed from Kush into Fools' Paradise. Testing locations in Karnak also produced no extra seeds. I wrapped up at 6:40 PM, planting where I began, with both avatars still receiving extra seeds. My guess would be this will last until midnight.

- I started planting Cabbage in UE East of U thought by the coast around 7pm Egypt time getting 24 and 23 yeild also recived 2 seeds from some of the harvests. No im not married yet though we did start with introductions for marridge.
- I started planting Cabbage in northern LE around 4 AM Egypt time, using 6 seeds. Each total harvest yielded 12 cabbages per seed and between 2 and 4 extra seeds. It is now noon Egypt time, and the pattern has not changed. I am married, spouse is offline, I had shrinkages, overwaterings....didn't matter. The pattern remains consistent. --Makaneth
- I can't give the time and dates as I wasn't online during the seed reproduction, and the information is 2nd hand, and they didn't write down the time or date. However, for at least 2 game days before we saw seed reproduction in LE, we had a serious reduction in harvest yield. 2 game days out, the yield was halved, and 1 game day out, it was halved again. Then 1 person who grew got a seed at some time during the next game night. Wish this info was more detailed, however, that's what you get when you can't be online and people don't really understand your instructions :P. -- bort

- CotS at 2:33AM Akhet III-16 4525, -869 I got a yield of 26 cabbage/seed. I was also growing alongside carrots. --Smethotep
- It appears the cabbage and leeks have similar yield patterns. Planting between the -4096 and -4097 Y axis yielded very different results. I would get less cabbage below -4096 and 20 at -4097. There doesn't seem to be any E/W boundry. I would recommend others run south and occasionally plant. See if you can find this 'edge'.

I did some testing trying to find the highest yield in the western Upper Egypt area, and plotted the results in the following chart. Notice that yield drops to 1 when crossing the 4096 north line. --Aidenna
