Yeast Stats

I have recorded the calculations I have done to determine yeast stats here. Some of the data is my own and some has been gathered from other Users' Wiki pages.

Y8

This test of mine verifies the MaxAlc, Glucose Floor, VitCon, and Flavor numbers.

Recipe: 30 Honey, 60 Light Malt, 50 Medium Malt @ 1176 Location: 912, -3344 Yeasts: Y8 Sealed at: 1150

This test gives a much better idea of the VitFloor number. It is not "66" as my SealingTimes tests indicated. Instead it is either 15 or lower. With this test I seem to have reached the MaxAlc value, so it is not definitive (more vitamins might have been used if the alcohol hadn't maxed out). On the other hand, it confirms my best estimate of the "Honey" flavor number nicely, especially since it is a malt-only beer.

This next test is my own data, performed at a spot I found on the No Such Guild or Player Yeast Map page. This test confirmed the Glucose and Maltose floors. I got a very different VitCon number and slight differences in the flavor numbers. Should be retested.

I was trying for the VitFloor with this next test but inadvertently discovered that the Maltose Floor was much higher than the Wiki numbers for this yeast had previously led me to believe. I had vitamins left over and no Maltose was used, so the floor must be over 200 -- probably between 200 and 228 as shown in the previous test.

This test data comes from Neouni's Beer 1250 1475 page. Note that although the sealing time captured 2 yeasts, the first yeast almost certainly used up all the glucose. Plugging the recipe into the T3 Beer Spreadsheet supports this hypothesis, but there is no way to be absolutely sure. Therefore, although this test gives us some decent estimates of the Glucose Floor, VitCons, and flavor numbers, additional tests should be done.

The following test reveals that the Vitamin Floor is probably 5. Although I sealed it a bit late and got the L36 microbe in the mix, no Lactic Acid was in the final beer, so I am pretty confident that the yeast used all the vitamins.

This is another of my tests. It shows the Glucose and Maltose floors and reasonably good VitCons and flavor numbers (although a test with higher alcohol would produce more precise values).
