7/18/2008 Kaboom! Shu got a BIG surprise when he signed up to judged a Pyrotechnic Competition. All the fireworks were terrific! So many beautiful patterns and swirlies! And then Kaboom! Shu finished the Principal of the Critic making him Level 34 !
7/13/2008 Shu goes like a rocket now with Speed Point 21
7/1/2008 Hurray! Shu finally got the stuff to get Cooking 5 Skill! After a very long time looking for the herbs and posting to RTrade with not much luck, Shu contacted Sumtet and voila! Cooking 5! And what's even BETTER is that Sumtet had the stuff for Cooking 6 AND Cooking 7! Shu made tracks to get the goodies and headed to the SWorship to get the skills - as they say on Fantasy TV - BAM!
6/21/2008 OOOOO - after avoiding Scholar's Gem Cutting Tables Shu finally took the plunge and picked some tables at random while on walk-about and SOLVED THEM! <whoosh> Shu got another level for the efforts too! A huge thank you goes to Marvel's Gem Cutting tutorials in 7 Lakes. Shu has spent some time there prior to the plague and had some idea of what to do.

5/12/2008 WOW I didn't know until today but I passed Test of Life (7769) on 4/14/2008! A HUGE THANK YOU goes to Tactician and Dana and all the others in the Southern 7L Aquaduct Project who built aquaduct towers and grew veggies at them!
5/6/2008 Lots of DRAMA in Egypt ATM. Sort of sad in a way... people doing all sorts of " 'splaining n 'plaining ". I never thought I'd actually see a "DP Ban" of any sorts, although I know about them. I did think the Ban-Richter drama was a bit much too. But I'm learning that these "escapades" are all part of the game. Unfortunately, it's bad news for all the folks involved.. raised tempers, raised blood pressure, raised eyebrows...
12/26/2007 WOW! Pharaoh dropped Special Delivery Xmas Packages all over Egypt! Shu got 2 presents: Chocolates and Fireworks! Yippee!
12/25/2007 WOOT WOOT WOOT! Shu passed Test of Souls (25952) on Christmas Day! It certainly added magic to the day! I wish all my friends and neighbors in Egypt a Happy Holiday and a Prosperous New Year!
9/22/2007 Totally AWESOME: Passed Test of the Festival! There was a huge wine and beer mixer and mass zappage in Karnak after the last MAAT Festival. So many THANK YOUs are need to all the people who hosted, supplied, taught and helped in every way to make it possible to pass the TEST.

9/3/2007 After many many hours at the forge I completed the items need for Test of the Formal Garden and built my garden. Shu's Formal Garden is now open for Judging at 1135/1434 7 Lakes just North of the ULead. Special THANKS to Tactician, iziz, Lill and Kalateth for making it possible!

8/17/2007 Woot n Toot n... after many many months of searching Dark Pampas Grass for roosters I got the 25 roosters I needed to buy the glassware for the Chem Lab upgrade (allows making of Lung Spore Cures). Although there's a Perma-Cure available and (hopefully) this is not needed, I decided to go ahead with the project - just in case. Thanks goes to Dana for donating a number of roosters to the project!

8/8/2007 Woot! Today I passed Principle of the Tower and got a new level! While I've been working on this for some time, I just don't seem to be on-line when the Hour of Towers happens. Plus I only can make 2 types of towers as the others are way too expensive for me. Another WOOT: I got speed point #10! I move so fast I melt the road now!
7/11/2007 What a surprising day in Egypt! Shu got all kinds of surprises today. First, Shu passed Test of the Coalition with 1408 points and got a new level: 28! Can't hardly believe it. Then Shu got Speed Point 9... now Shu can zoom along at with fire coming out of his sandals. Then Shu got a tick on the Principles of True Leader ... "someone" nominated Shu! Didn't make the ballot but it was a BIG SURPRISE!
6/24/2007 A GREAT day in Egypt! The Perma-Cure for the Plague has been discovered and distributed throughout Egypt. Shu took the Cure as did Kalateth, Iziz and Alexios. Then for celebration a great ACROPARTY was held in 7 Lakes. Scores of people turned out for the event. Shu got 2 new moves and is now DEX = +3! Thank you to all the folks who made the Cure possible and Thank You to all the folks who worked on the AcroLine!
5/27/2007 Got a new level with Principles of Festival. Thanks to all the Festival Suppliers who helped me get my gear! Now on the the Big Show... MORE Festivals!

4/12/2007 WOOT for the Home Team! We got 10 Male Camels in Pen 1 now and getting Pheromones! So we have both pens producing pheromones for The Cure!
4/6/2007 Picked up my Tablet at Altar 4 VoK. Tablet is Stone-Stone-Meteor.
Pen 2 now has 10 Female Camels and is producing pheromones!

3/27/2007 I built another camel pen (SHANNARA guild) to try to get some Camel Pheromones for the Cure. I have no idea how I'm gonna get the 10 single gender camels in the pen. It might take some dumb luck and some breeding help from anything that wanders in the pen. OH.. I did I mention that they will need 'straw' to remain "happy campers"..er "happy camels"? Between the rotten luck at the water mine and sitting on the green houses day and night.. I might just get something to contribute...
3/09/2007 Call me Shu the House Painter <G>! I made some very very simple paints and painted my CP. I also crushed about 4000 cabbages to paint iziz's Palace too.
Ah... my beetle didn't even place... and I thought he looked so handsome too! Well, I'll try again with another one soon.
3/7/2007 Made it to Level 25! Woot 4 Me! After many many months of preparation (almost from the beginning of the Tale) I bred a really nice looking beetle and entered him in the 7 Lakes Level 1 Beetle Garden. One nice outcome of the plague is that I'm almost exclusively doing stuff "at home" and breeding the beetle and growing cabbage was something I could do at the CP. Now I'm so excited about my first beetle, I'm starting to work on another one!
Found an Odd Weed at 1198,2350 7 Lakes. Popped right up while I was on my way to the U Thought. Put out the call on E! - hope some collector came and got it...
After much sweating at the forges I got the loom frame done for the Test of the Raeli Mosaic. Now I just have to find a lot of interesting tiles <G>.
2/6/2007 - Well Egypt is still in the gripe of Plague: Zanialmydiya Lung Spore Disease. Yesterday I made 15 glass jars to donate to the research for The Cure (Advanced Chemistry 2) and delivered them to U of Thought in Karnak.
I have to say that Shu is not a brave soul and was petrified running the tiny offerings to Karnak of meeting someone with the illness. Actually Shu has been petrified since the beginning of this "event" and has become a complete and total recluse! Anyone seen vaguely coming in my direction and I run for the desert nearby. It's taking a big toll on my RL nerves.
I've run two water mines (never my favorite item) for over 8 hours without getting a single Cuttable Jade for the potion! (I guess I don't know the right angle for the water mine to produce jade...)
I am torn between just staying away for the duration and wanting to help with finding the cure... I know my tiny donation doesn't mean much to the overall effort which is being worked on by some very competent players but as least it's something.
Thank You People of Egypt! for all the help so far!
